6 incredible spots to admire the colors while SUPing this fall! - Quebec SUP

Goodbye summer, hello fall! 🍂

Like us, I imagine that you have begun to feel the change in the air; the cool wind that sets in, the foggy mornings, and nature that dresses in its most beautiful colors!

We all know about hiking, but have you ever considered paddleboarding on your favorite river this fall?
If I were you, I wouldn't forget your waterproof cell phone case because you will definitely want to take pictures!

Here in Quebec, we are extremely lucky to be able to admire this change of season in all its splendor. Before you embark on your adventure, we suggest that you consult our cold water SUP guide 101so you'll be well prepared for your next outing this fall.

Destination:
  • MALBAIE RIVER, HIGH GORGES SECTION (CHARLEVOIX)

The Hautes Gorges de la Rivière Malbaie National Park is accessible from the village of Saint-Aimé-des-Lacs in the Charlevoix tourist region. You will find a breathtaking landscape, guaranteed!
Do you know the odyssey of the river of a thousand islands? It's wonderful! We suggest 5 routes through the islands and marshes with its 4 access points. Not only is the Park a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect, conserve and enhance the Mile Islands River, with the support of the community.
In addition to the mountains, you will be able to admire the sandy shores, the rocky wall and the aquatic life.  Take advantage of 11 access points in the city of Mont-Tremblant to practice river boating.
  • THE BONAVENTURE RIVER, SECTION LA POPULAIRE (GASPÉSIE)

The Bonaventure River is a must-see, with its beautiful scenery and crystal clear water. It is recommended to contact cime aventure shortly before your activity date to verify if the conditions allow for mini-raft or SUP outings on the river.

  • JACQUES-CARTIER RIVER, VALLEY SECTION (QUEBEC)
30 minutes from Quebec City, you can could paddle through a mountainous plateau with deep valleys. Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier is one of the most beautiful glacial valleys in Quebec! It's spectacular year round, but in the fall, it's simply incredible!

    • 31 MILE LAKE REGIONAL PARK - CRYSTAL CLEAR WATERS AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE
This majestic place will make you vibrate to the rhythm of nature. A vast lake with clear waters, dotted with deserted islands, right next to the wide open spaces of the Gatineau Valley. It is truly a must

Finally, I'll let you explore the beautiful color map that Bonjour Québec has concocted! The map couldn't be more perfect, it not only refers you to the ideal places to enjoy nature this fall, but it also indicates the change of colors from not started to its peak.
